Adopt a Cattle Dog / Border Collie / Mixed

Cattle Dog / Border Collie / Mixed Dog

Rocket the Dog needs a home

We found Rocket & his brother Granger (who has been adopted but you'll see in the pictures) on the side of a road in Somerville. They were born around 04/05/05. They went right into foster care and from the start they have been healthy, energetic boys. Rocket currently weighs about 45 lbs and is very thick. He absolutely adores water - he has his own kiddie swimming pool during the summer and if he can't get to that then his water bucket will do just fine. He loves toys and he runs like the wind through the yard. He is housetrained and he would make a phenomenal pet. He does beautifully in the house, very mellow, is a good listener and is a huge snuggler. He can be very shy at first but after he gets to know you he is very outgoing. He finished an obedience training at Dogwoods and now knows how to sit, stay, lay down, heel, come, etc. He is very bright and loves treats so he has been a dream to train. He does seem to get scared at adoption day by children though, so we recommend a home without small kids. And in his older years, he has become a loner, when it comes to other dogs, he prefers to be a single dog.

Rocket has been neutered, is current on all shots, is on Frontline Flea & Tick prevention, Interceptor for heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and comes with a 30 day pet health guarantee. The adoption fee is $95.For more information about this animal and other please visit our website at fayettefcar.com or contact us at 901/854-2565.
